The Dreaded Weight-Loss Update

So for those of you who care...since my great burst of motivation a week or so ago, I am proud to let you know that I have lost 4 pounds. I'm only pretty sure on that, though. I am basing this information on the weight that I was weighed at the Doctor's office about a month ago and my new scale that I bought this week. So, I guess it's "give or take a little". But, I'm pretty happy with these results so far. That means only 6 more pounds to go until the end of July. That is So doable. My only problem...what do you do when you are so hungry (or just craving something) in the afternoon? Let me know if any of you have any good ideas. Three o'clock is about the precise moment that I start thinking about chocolate chips...

Good for you Em. Call me at 3 and we will go walking or something. (OK really I get a hankerin for some sweets at the same time too so maybe I am not the one to help.) Still call if you want to run to the gas station though for a treat though! :)

Way to go! Drink a lot of water. My mom is doing this diet that you eat 100 calories every 90 minutes. that way you are not hungry. If you want I can email the whole diet to you. Keep up the good work!

Great job Emily! Don't restrict anything... just use portion control. Maybe 5 chocolate chips instead of 50?
Chew sugarless gum, drink water, a glass of milk is good to help you feel more full and milk has recently been proven to help you lose weight!

Carrots and grapes are great snacks, easy and good for ya.

100 calorie bags of 96% fat free kettle corn. It is slightly sweet, salty and crunchy - all of the things I need at 3 in the afternoon. Why is that a hard time for us girls?!? Seriously, these little goodies are a life saver. The bags are a nice size and if you are doing the WW points thing, they are one point! FABULOUS!

You should try eating the sugar free jello from Walmart. It only has 5 calories and is really good, I think.

Good for you Emily! Popcorn (without all the butter and oil of course) is a great healthy snack! Braeburn apples are really yummy too- not like a regular apple they are tart and sweet at the same time.
